How not to run for office
Okay, so I've been picking on catastrophically inept Democratic campaigns for a while, but this one takes some kind of prize. What do you want people to see when you're running for Congress?

Amateurs. Running for office is not a game of patty-cake. The offender is one Kathy Konst, running in the now four-way primary in the 26th District.
2008 Elections | NY-26 | Kathy Konst

Ummmm, no, she's not.
The word is "incumbent" and no, she's not.
She may hold office, but not the one she wants to run for.
Tom Reynolds is the incumbent, and thankfully he is not running.
I'll stick with Jon Powers, thanks.
More complicated than all that
Kathy Konst announced weeks ago that she planned to run; it was in the Buffalo News on May 29. The fact that her website's home page is still unavailable is not a good sign for her. (Interestingly, if you Google her name, you can get direct access to other pages on the site, which is even stranger.)
Also running, according to the Buffalo News, are Powers, Alice Kryzan, and 2006 Democratic nominee Jack Davis -- who has a case pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Davis is rich, and is spending a lot of his own money on this race. Under current campaign finance law, there is a "millionaire's exemption" from donation limits. When you have an opponent who spends a lot of his/her own money, your donors can give more than the standard $2,300 limit. Davis is challenging this exemption. Stay tuned for further developments -- this could have major repercussions.

Uh....she's not an amateur,
Uh....she's not an amateur, Mr. Amateur. She comes from a long line of politicos and is the only incombent. Ever heard of technological issues? Called "system down"...maybe you should actually start analyzing the important stuff- like issues!
