Kucinich comes to New York; absolutely nobody cares
I have a special place in my heart for Dennis Kucinich. That place is also where I keep memories of what I wore when I was thirteen. It is not a happy place, or one I visit often.
Politicker reports that the man himself was in New York today, giving a press conference in which he said something or other. This raises two interesting questions:
1) Who cares?
2) Does anyone other than his immediate blood relatives think his, cough, "Presidential campaign" is anything other than a painful-to-watch, deeply embarassing exercise in attention whoring?
Seriously: if there is a lone Kucinich supporter out there, please tell the man to stop whatever it is that he thinks he's doing. Nobody, but nobody, is buying what he's selling.

Kucinich supporters may be few
but they are progressive activists who play an important role in opposing the war. Monday at City Hall Kucinich and his supporters brought front and center the need for single-payer, universal health care. None of the other presidential candidates are doing it.
On the merits, I agree with Kucinch on many issues. While I, personally, support the Supplemental, I think those demanding a stronger out of Iraq bill are neither foolish nor the enemy. Kucinch is holding up left field -- a tough job. While I wish a more viable candidates like Obama and Edwards would do it, they've made somewhat different calculations.
Why DOES he RUN?
Yes, it's pathetic, isn't it? He's everything the Republicans want the public to believe that Democrats are all about. So why does he do it? Could it be...
1. He ate some bad tofu.
2. Last time he ran he found a wife, so now he's ready to have an affair.
3. He's auditioning for Alan Colmes's job.
4. He's running for King of the little people.
So many people run for President not because they actually think they have a chance of winning, but because they crave attention and want to prove that they're still relevant - which sadly draws attention to the fact that they're not. I mean, who knew that Mike Gravel was still alive, or even ever existed? But Kucinich? He's such an annoying little wimp.
