Peter King Can Be Beaten.

Daily Kos reports that Peter King, of whom it may be said that nothing alien is human to him, Republican of Nassau County is within range of defeat by his Democratic opponent, David Mejias, Nassau County Legislator. The survey, by Constituency Dynamics reports:
NY-03, King (R) 48, Mejias (D) 46 w/ a margin of errror of +/- 2.9-3.1%. Other races appear to favor Democrats as well. Go there now. Many seats may be winnable.

Mejias will lose

The pollsters don't have a clue on this race. King will win handily when people go behind the curtain on election day.

Could be, who knows

Pollsters just take polls. There are sampling protocols. When you say they're lacking a clue -- are you just expressing confidence in King or do you have a thought about how and why his support may be undercounted?

This race is going to be

This race is going to be very close. The people of the district are sick and tire of King being a Bush lapdog and his ulra conservative views. Long Island and the 3rd district might not be the west side of Manhattan, buts its not exactly a happy zone for social conservatism. King's unwavering right wing views and his strong support for the Bush administration don't play well here. He has tried to run as a moderate and Independent in the past, and it has worked for him, but he can no longer pretend to be something he isn't come election da. This race will be close, anyone who disagrees is in serious denial.

I do hope you're right

The poll which report Mejias so close to beating King also seems to report Democrats beating Republicans all over. Queery: Is this the Democratic tidal wave or an artifact of polling?
