The Gifts that keep on giving; Cluster Bombs in Lebanon

Did you think there was a cease-fire in Lebanon? Well, there is and there isn't. People there are still being killed and injured as unexploded cluster bombs (made by the US and delivered to towns and villages in Lebanon by the Israeli Defense Force) detonate. Two Lebanon army soldiers were killed recently, bringing the total of those killed and injured after the "cease-fire" to 63. War on Lebanon has links to articles on the issues raised.

Recently, the Senate voted down a measure that would have limited the use of US made cluster bombs in civillian areas. New York Senators Clinton and Schumer voted with the Republicans as did Connecticut Senators Lieberman and Dodd. If you think the use cluster-bombs should be limited in civilian areas, consider writing to your Senators.
