On the web, nobody knows if you're a dog but everybody finds out you are a bitch.

That's why when I heard May 1st is the "day without an immigrant" strike, I asked myself : "What's the net version of this event?"

¡Ja! Well, in the case of a blog, instead of disappearing it's imperative that I reappear as the perra latina I am.

This blog has jumped the proverbial bilingual tiburón.

I've been pondering for a while the practicality of translating to Spanish some of our entries. As you can see, 95% of our readers come from English ennabled systems.

But check it out pana. 1% of our readers are using systems in Arabic? iquest;Qué carajo is with that?

Nevertheless it occurred to me that writing in Spanish about US politics is not only interesting but necessary since bitácoras like this one can serve as cultural, linguistic and political bridges.

Or at least we can crank the volume up and turn this into a fun bachata. It is chévere to pull the linguistic bipolar trick out of the manga once in a while.

And so it is with this post I officially become the first bilingual Top 100 liberal blog published by a latina (since our compadre in blogs, Latinopundit lo hace de vez en cuando.

Bienvenidos a mi lengua política.

Good!

What it means is that I will be posting both in English and in Spanish original content. If people want me to translate any of our posts into Spanish, then I'll do so.
