My Post-Primary Challenge to David Yassky
Now that the primary for CD-11 is over, I want to issue a challenge to David Yassky. David Yassky clearly is a formidable fundraiser. We need that skill now to help our fellow Democrats throughout the state.
Now that the primary is over, I challenge David Yassky to use his talent for raising money to help NY State Democrats win in Congressional and State Senate races. Showing your leadership now would be an excellent way to heal the divisions that were caused by the primary. I, for one, would praise such efforts as, I think, would many others who previously opposed David Yassky. My wife, who was particularly angry at Yassky using the false Republican talking point that Democrats have had no positive vision but only comlpained, says she would forgive Yassky that use of Republican talking points if he raises money for Democrats running for Congress and State Senate in NY State. Can you help, David?

... I'm sure that's going to happen. I'm sure that Brooklyn's smartest man is on the phone right now raising shekels for his next run, either for Borough Prez, Congress again, District Attorney or even Comptroller. I'm sure he'll find some kind of outlet for his pathological race-baiting.
How about using your voice contstructively?
The sarcasm really doesn't get us anywhere.
How about promtoing something like capitold.org and their fundraiser next Tuesday.

For the record...
For the record, though my post may be a bit tongue in cheek, I am serious with my challenge. Yassky has at times read my stuff and taken it at least partly to heart. I figure there is just barely a chance that he will take me up on my challenge, and if he does I really will think far more highly of him that I did when he was denegrating Democrats (wrongly) for lack of ideas.
I figure it's worth a try. We have some really important races here in NY State and Yassky can help out if he wants. I want to highlight the opportunity and highlight his efforts if he DOES take me up on it.
