Espada and Monserrate go on a date

As the state teeters on the brink of a constitutional crisis, the quislings, Espada and Monserrate, went to the ball game.

Oh wait, there's a photo.

The Daily News:

A world away from the chaos in Albany, dissident Senators Hiram Monserrate and Pedro Espada Jr. watched the Subway Series in a pair of plush seats at Yankee Stadium Saturday, taking a leisurely break from the state of shame they created upstate.

Espada - who represents the Bronx, but has been accused of living in his home on the wrong side of the Westchester County line - showed off his support for the Bombers in a Yankees cap and jersey.

Queens senator Monserrate, a Mets fan, decided he'd play both sides - with an "I heart NY" hat and "Queens Dominicana" jersey.

The dissident Dems enjoyed the ballgame in the Legends Suite section, complete with cushioned seats, in-seat wait service and a concierge. It also allows exclusive access to a swanky restaurant with an all-inclusive buffet, top-shelf liquor and private rest rooms.

Well, at least they're taking that constitutional crisis they created deeply seriously, right?

Update: Ha! Buffalo Pundit feels much the same.

Gay Marriage

Perhaps this is the first step towards their wedding ceremony.

If so, I'd watch it if I was Espada. Never know when Monserrate will come after you and go for the face...or try to run you over.

I see they got their tickets for less than half of what you and I would pay for them and I wonder how they rate these cheap prices for these quality seats.
