A progressive opportunity

First of all, the Republicans have just over a week to get someone on the ballot, so we'll know very soon. Meanwhile, they seem to be even less organized than Democrats usually are.

This is a big opportunity for the progressive movement to take a stand. Michael McMahon is a conservative; the only reason for progressive Democrats to back him would be a case where only a right-winger could possibly get elected. Clearly, in the NY-13 that is not the case. As a result, almost all the arguments against supporting Steve Harrison are dead in the water.
