Jeannie May
I've known Jeannie May for about 3 years and find her to be a capable dedicated Democrat. Jeannie, like many of us, is sick and tired to the machine politics of Brooklyn and decided to run against Delia Schack because of this. Jeannie enlisted friends to help her gather signatures and did a lot herself (at a DFNYC Meeting 2 of our members live in Jeannie's neighborhood - 1 in her building - and even remarked at how hard Jeannie was working gathering signatures. Jeannie is fighting AGAINST election buying which is the hallmark of the Delia/Vito Lopez elections. For Delia Schack to contest Jeannie's signatures shows that she's afraid of the competition. As for Joanne Seminara, she happens to be a long time friend of Jeannie's and if she did help (which I'm not aware of and in fact someone told me no she didn't) she did it out of friendship, not for any other reason. Jeannie is a reformer using her own money and small donations to run her campaign. District 46 would be a heck of a lot better with someone like Jeannie May as District Leader rather than what's currently there.
