Although we find variety of jewelry items made from pearls, the most popular are perhaps the pearl necklaces. Depending on their lengths and designs they have been given unique names. Mostly, we find that length is the only consideration when we refer to necklaces but in the case of pearls it is not so. Pearl necklaces are not defined merely by their physical measurement; rather strings of pearls have their own set of names that characterize the pearls based on where they hang when worn around the neck. Popular types of pearl necklaces and their names are: A collar will sit directly against the throat and not hang down the neck at all; they are often made up of multiple strands of pearls. Pearl chokers nestle just at the base of the neck. They are universal in their appeal. It suits almost any dress and any neckline. Pearl chokers are a must-have item on every woman’s list who loves to wear jewelry. The size called a princess comes down to or just below the collarbone. This is also an all time favorite. The size, shape and color of the pearls can define its use either as casual wear or for a special occasion.

The stems of a bouquet can be literally overshadowed by the flowers above, but they should be just as beautiful as the blooms. Much as you choose the right shoe for a dress or the right tie for a suit, give careful consideration to the stems. Whether a bride walks down the aisle with an elaborate bundle of peonies or outfits herself and her bridesmaids with modern sheaths of calla lilies, a thoughtful treatment of a bouquet's handle or stems will complete the look.

What a great choice. Bamboo is one of the hottest wood flooring trends at the moment and with good reason. It’s durable, low maintenance, very pleasing to the eye and it’s not too precious to live with. Aside from those qualities, it’s also a wonderful material in terms of sustainability, the latest environmental buzz word. Since it’s actually a grass, and can be harvested time and again from the same plant, it produces a crop every 3 to 4 years, making it very handy indeed. Even the manufacturing processes are environmentally friendly, so jump on the bandwagon and tell your friends! Now, as for the best method to install bamboo wood flooring, well it all depends on your skills level, how much you really want to do it yourself and whether saving money is a big factor to you. Brooklyn assemblyman Vito Lopez, who is pushing hard to win the county's Democratic Party leadership post made vacant by the conviction of his former assembly colleague, Clarence Norman, Jr., has something else in common with Norman: Both men used political campaign committees to pay for their personal cars, and then accepted mileage reimbursement from the legislature - a legal no-no according to Brooklyn District Attorney Charles "Joe" Hynes who won indictments against Norman for that very offense.

State election board filings show that since 1999 the Bushwick pol's campaign committee, "Friends of Vito Lopez," has routinely shelled out $500 a month in leasing costs for his Acura sports car, and another $2800 a year for his auto insurance costs. It also pays more than $200 a month for a luxury dashboard computer service. In addition, the committee picks up a monthly American Express bill for the assemblyman, a tab that runs from $400 to $8,000 a month.
