The Daily Gotham is pleased to announce a new contributor, Richard Rothstein; Richard will be blogging here, and - we wish for want must have - hopefully sharing his stupendous photography, otherwise featured on his other blog, Manhattan Details. Richard was recruited straight off Daily Kos, where he currently has a featured diary, which in turn led us to him. Here's a sample of his work:

... in especially as the site is published by a woman. Valid point that there should be more, but nobody is, for example, stopping you from blogging.

Not to mention that if Richard is nice enough to publish his TSQ portfolio, you'll be quite pleased, missy. 
Alter ego

DG's companion (and nationally focused) site, Culture Kitchen, is far more estrogen dominated. I find it interesting that the two sites are so disparate in terms of gender. I am now one of the managing editors of Culture Kitchen (which is why I'm not aroujd DG as much) and have been recruiting a mixed bunch of people. And yet mostly it has been more women joining until very recently.
So if you average the sites together you have close to sex hormone parity.

Sheesh. I get sidelined by sitcoms because I'm old. I get bashed because I'm gay. I get taunted because I'm bald. I get insulted by drunk movie stars because I'm Jewish. Now I'm attacked because I have hair growing out of my ears.
