Wellington Sharpe [1] is something of an always ran. His latest run is to replace Yvette Clarke. He is founder and president of Nelrak Child Development Center and a member of Community Board 17. He is considered to be something of an ally of the Norman-era Brooklyn machine, though I personally liked him when I met him, found he was in agreement with Bill Batson and myself regarding the significance of arson fires in Brooklyn [2], and held several good positions. Rock Hackshaw of Room 8 has endorsed (and I believe is working for) Sharpe, but I am unaware of any other endorsements (none are listed on his site).
