The Al-Qaedization of Latinos in New York
Roberto's got the scoop on this alarming trend : In another sign that Latinos have become the anti-civilizational Other of choice, a young Bronx man was sentenced yesterday under statutes designed to punish international terrorists. According to this story from the NY Times, a Bronx jury found Edgar Morales, a recreational soccer player and gang member, guilty of manslaughter in the killing of a little girl during a christening party in 2000. Morales, 25, was sentenced under anti-terrorist legislation signed by former NY Governor George Pataki right after 9-11.

To whom this may concern,
Hi there I am a student at Lehman College and am taking a class called Multilingual Journalism. In this class we are learning about media in the United States by and for non-anglophone communities. We address the history of migration to the United States and the development of media serving these readers and there communities. We have split up into groups and are researching these communities for a class presentation. The group i am apart of is the group researching Puerto Rican Media. Our focus of this project is "Where has all the Puerto Rican gone in media?" This is a very interesting and controversial topic and my group thought that you may be an excellent contribution to our research.
We have a few questions that if you have time to answer will help us greatly in conveying the correct message to our classmates of what Puerto Rican media is all about.
When and why did your company begin?
Who is your demographic?
How many people read your product?
Where and when is your product distributed?
What topics do you discuss? How do these topic relate to Puerto Ricans?
What do you want people to know about your company?
Who owns your company?
What is the history of your company?
What does your company offer to Puerto Ricans?
What are your opinions on the Puerto Rican existence in media?
What suggestions do you have for my group and our project?
Thank you so much for your time
Its greatly appreciated
