Jimmy Dahroug had the Daily Gotham endorsement ages ago [1]. Dahroug is running for State Senate in Suffolk County. And he really is our best hope to pick up one of the two State Senate seats we need to end Joe Bruno's constipation of our State government.
Recently Dahroug has picked up five new endoresements of some significance. From the Dahroug campaign:
Across New York, we are challenging business as usual politicians and the time worn systems they represent. This is an exciting time for New Yorkers who believe that we really do have the power to put democracy to work reviving our public institutions.
As proof of that desire for change, our campaign received 5 Major Endorsements following our impressive filing.
I am so proud to receive the endorsements of these individuals and organizations:Let me say how grateful I am for the endorsement of Jon Cooper, Democratic Majority Leader, the Suffolk County Legislature [2].
Jon, thank you for your renewed support, faith and confidence in my platform and in my candidacy.
Democracy for NYC (DFNYC) [3] is a volunteer-driven non-profit political action committee. They are part of a national coalition of local groups committed to the ideals espoused by Democracy for America, the organization founded by Howard Dean.
What they will bring in terms of pure energy, volunteers, and mobilization of troops on election day will be tremendous. Please visit their site at dfnyc.org
Tom Hroncich, Founder of the Gay Democrats of Suffolk County [4] endorsed our campaign. His ongoing support has made so many things possible this cycle and I hope he knows how grateful I am.
New Democratic Majority [4] joined our campaign last week. NDM works both locally and nationally to insure that fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates win elections at all levels of government. Their support will be key during the election.
Democrats For New Politics is a grassroots organization dedicated to advancing progressive goals. Members of the DNP played a critical role to help us get our the vote in our last support. I am incredibly grateful for their renewed support.
The buzzword of 2008 is undoubtedly "Change." These individuals and organizations share our vision to bring positive, empowering change to Albany.
They represent the grassroots, the citizen-activists, the people who are in politics for the right reasons.
Not only do their endorsements give us an extraordinary boost of momentum, they embody the core values of our campaign.
Most importantly, we owe a debt of gratitude to you - our supporters. You made this happen. Your hard work, your contributions, you're time - has all paid off.
Not only have you broken fundraising records this early in the campaign, we have generated an enormous amount of buzz and momentum. This is crucial to our victory in November.
Make no mistake, there is still a great deal of work to be done. With the Republican Majority at stake and special interests on his side, Caesar Trunzo will do everything he can to stop us. But judging by what you've done so far, I know we will win this race.
If you want Albany to work better for you, please help Jimmy Dahroug's campaign [5].
