Councilman Dan Garodnick on Tishman-Speyer's strategic foreclosure of Stuyvesant-Town & Peter Cooper
It is good to elect, in this case, a councilman that has a completely different outlook on the same problem.
To this blogdiva and Eyore stan, the strategic foreclosure of Stuyvesant-Town & Peter Cooper is a sign of the coming affordable housing apocalypse. Yesterday on a quick conversation with Garodnick and his staff, I got a completely different outlook.

I also had a WFT moment after I read Michael's post about the WFP. I coincidentally had just finished talking to Dan Garodnick who is also calling for a strategic voting under the WFP banner, but in this case the candidate is Eliot Spitzer.

An anonymous tipster alerted me of this press conference and so, I was part of ... ahem ... New York City's media taping the whole thing. It was fun to see Dan in all his incumbent glory dealing with the heavy issue of the selling of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper.
Dare I say he sounds ... ahem ... mayoral. This is a guy NYC Democrats ought to keep an eye on for taking back City Hall in 2009.
