Al Sharpton not running for President, America stunned and sheds a tear..... of joy
The Rev. Al Sharpton, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004, says he won't get into the race this time. "I am not going to run"
Wow, huge surprise....Edwards-Obama 2008 with or without Rev. Al's support.

Support and Pull in the Black Area
Obama is looking good without Al. Jesse Jackson has more juice in my mind in getting black voter turnout.
Well, I'm disappointed. . . .
I thought that, precisely because he was so boorish and devoid of nuance, Al Sharpton added just the right seasoning to last round's Democratic Primaries. I actually am disappointed. I want Al and Dennis Kucinich in every Dem primary till they die, because at least then there are people willing to cut through the crap and say something that's on the minds of people not triangulating their way into the presidency.
But then, that's just me. . . .
Agree
I actually quite liked Sharpton in the debates and at the convention last time around. Not that I'd support him, but he did say some things that needed to be said.
Hahaha!
You just made my day. Heh.
I'd rather have Al Sharpton in his own talk show
than running for President. These "issues" candidates pollute the primary process and help perpetuate the already exploitatively corporate nature of campaign fundraising.
To a lot people in the DNC elections are just a way to pay the rent. Some of these candidates are the political version of a numbers racket.
