Just a teaser: there's a major project on its way, planned and executed jointly by some unexpected partners, to help elect Craig Johnson to the New York State Senate.
It's going to be big, unprecedented, sexy and fun. Stay tuned for more.
And here you go: the grassroots and allied groups are putting on a blograiser/fundraiser for Craig Johnson under the patronage (and with the possible/probable/much-hoped-for attendance of) Governor Eliot Spitzer and a bevy of assorted Senators, including the Dem Leader, Malcolm Smith. Liveblogging will happen here, on
The Albany Project and
DailyKos (perhaps we can even get Brian Keeler - NYBri - to give us a shout-out? Brian and our Liza, BTW, are doing the blog outreach). Here's the creative, done by me.

Kudos to new state party co-chair Dave Pollak for pulling it all together; we're seing people actively working together who've never even met before. This event, and the related activities, can provide a roadmap to where the Democratic Party as a whole needs to be going: open, transparent collaboration across organizations in pursuit of a common goal.
Thanks to everyone who helped it happen, and who's going to be working on getting Johnson elected.
And now, it's up to you.
